Nigeria, May 8 -- Since the arrest of VeryDarkMan (VDM) at GTBank in Area 3, Garki, Abuja, I have watched events unfold with deep interest, not just as a citizen, but as someone trying to understand the soul of a nation bruised by injustice and stitched together by voices of courage. I have followed both the videos calling for his release and those that attempt to justify the action of the EFCC. And while many of these reactions are laced with emotion rather than legal clarity, the one thing they all echo is that VDM has become a symbol of hope-a voice rising where silence has become too loud. I saw an interview his elder brother granted on Facebook. He spoke of how they grew up-struggling, surviving, fighting to eat and live another day....
