Nigeria, Dec. 26 -- The United States military, in collaboration with the Nigerian government, has carried out coordinated airstrikes against terrorists affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) group in north-western Nigeria.
US President Donald Trump disclosed the operation, saying the strikes were carried out following his directive to the US Department of Defense.
He described the operation as involving "numerous perfect strikes" against what he termed "terrorist scum," accusing the group of targeting and brutally killing innocent civilians, particularly Christians.
