Nigeria, Nov. 12 -- Two deadly explosions in India and Pakistan within 24 hours have caused mistrust between the neighboring countries and raised fears of renewed instability in South Asia.

What happened in India A car explosion in New Delhi on Monday, November 10, killed 13 people and injured several others near the Red Fort metro station, a crowded area in the center of the capital.

Police launched an extensive investigation, invoking India's anti-terror law. At least five people were detained during overnight raids in Pulwama district, in Indian-administered Kashmir, and another seven suspects, including two doctors, were arrested in Faridabad, a city bordering Delhi. Authorities said weapons and bomb-making materials were seized.
