Nigeria, March 16 -- The first reading details about the Covenant God established with Abraham. In the second reading, St. Paul warns those he calls the "enemies of the cross of Christ" noting that "they are destined to be lost." He indicated that our homeland is in heaven where our saviour is waiting to transform our wretched bodies into copies of his glorious body. The Gospel discloses how Jesus took with him Peter, James and John to Mount Tabor where he was transfigured. Based on the voice that came from the cloud, we are charged to embrace acting listening even as we continue our annual Lenten Observances of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
