Nigeria, Jan. 28 -- South Sudan's government has restricted access to social media platforms following unrest in the country.
The move, announced on January 22 by the National Communication Authority, is expected to last between 30 and 90 days.
Authorities say the action is meant to prevent the spread of violent footage showing killings in neighboring Sudan, which has sparked protests and retaliatory violence.
