Nigeria, June 3 -- The Managing Director/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, was elected Financial Secretary of the Executive Board of Directors of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) at the just-concluded 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the association.

Agbata assumes the new role after serving as Treasurer of the Board since April 2023.

The NiRA AGM, held in a hybrid format, saw over 325 stakeholders participating physically and virtually, providing the opportunity for a critical review of Nigeria's evolving digital identity ecosystem.
