Nigeria, Nov. 4 -- Two middle-aged men, Segun Shonekan and Rasak Lasisi, both aged 50, were on Tuesday brought before an Ota Magistrates' Court in Ogun State over allegations of stealing ten pieces of iron rolling valued at N500,000, said to belong to their employer.
We gathered that the accused persons, whose residential addresses were not disclosed, are facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing. They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, ASP E. O. Adaraloye, informed the court that the incident occurred in November 2024, around 7:00 p.m., at Veevee Paper Product located along Ijoko Road in Ota.
