Nigeria, July 2 -- Ebonyi StateGovernor,Francis Nwifuruhas warned that failure to bring the perpetrators of thebrutal killing of 10 Ebonyi indigenesinAnambra Stateto justice could damage the cordial relationship between both states.

Nwifuru, who condemned the gruesomeattack as barbaric and a direct assault on peace and human dignity, vowed that the hoodlums will not escape justice.

The victims, residents of Ogboji in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, were reportedly gunned down on Monday during a community meeting.

The assailants, who opened fire without warning, have yet to be identified, and no group has claimed responsibility for the massacre as of the time of this report.
