NIGERIA, Dec. 8 -- Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has fired back at critics pushing for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that no faction can drive him out of a party he helped build from day one.

Speaking at a weekend meeting with members of the PDP Board of Trustees and National Executive Council, led by Acting National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed, Wike dismissed the expulsion notice issued by camps loyal to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.

Wike accused the governors' factions of attempting to "k!ll the party," insisting he would not allow "latecomers" to rewrite the party's history or sideline its foundational members.
