Nigeria, July 8 -- Nnobi people in North America raised $40,000 at their 2025 convention held in Maryland over the penultimate weekend. The sold-out event featured young children and adults dancing, a masquerade performance, and other cultural displays. There were also business meetings and a dinner banquet. Nnobi people and their friends supported the convention theme of "Building Healthy Minds and Bodies: Investing in Education and Health Care." Amongst the dignitaries that graced the occasion was Dr. Chris Ngige, a former governor of Anambra State and former Minister of Labor under President Muhammadu Buhari.
