Nigeria, May 5 -- A Lance Corporal serving at the 231 Battalion in Biu, Borno State, Nigeria, has been dismissed from the Nigerian Army after being found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with the wife of a fellow soldier.

This action was taken following Sections 79 and 93 of the Armed Forces Act CAP A20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, which cite indecent professional misconduct and engaging in sexual relations with a colleague's spouse as punishable offenses.
