Nigeria, Jan. 6 -- The Nigerian Army has opened applications for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, inviting qualified Nigerians to enlist as commissioned officers.

In a statement, the Army said the programme is open to civilians and serving military personnel who meet the stipulated requirements.

According to the statement, successful candidates will be commissioned into selected professional corps.

The corps available include the Nigerian Army Engineers, Nigerian Army Signals, Nigerian Army Medical Corps, Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and the Nigerian Army Education Corps.
