Nigeria, July 26 -- The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched a new training program for personnel on the 612A Anti-UAV Radar System to boost its ability to detect and combat hostile drones.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday July 26, 2025, at the Headquarters of the Air Component, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The training is aimed at equipping selected NAF personnel with the skills needed to detect, track, and neutralize enemy drones, especially in conflict zones where such threats are becoming more common.
