Nigeria, Jan. 27 -- In a press release obtained by The News Chronicle on Monday Evening by the Defence Headquarters, the military disclosed that the investigation reports have been forwarded to the appropriate superior authority in line with extant regulations.

According to the statement, the comprehensive investigation conducted in accordance with established military procedures carefully examined the circumstances surrounding the conduct of the affected officers.

The findings reportedly identified some of the officers as being involved in allegations of plotting to overthrow the government, actions described as inconsistent with the ethics, values and professional standards of the Armed Forces.
