Nigeria, Dec. 22 -- Motorists can finally breathe a sigh of relief as normal traffic flow returns to the Lokoja-Abuja expressway following a weekend standoff between truck drivers and military personnel that left the highway gridlocked for three days, just days before Christmas.
The News Chronicle gathered that the prolonged snarl had left countless travelers stranded, causing frustration and delays across the busy route.
In his reaction, Works Minister David Umahi swiftly ordered the reopening of completed sections of the expressway and deployed security and road management teams to clear the bottleneck, ensuring smooth movement along the vital corridor.
