Kogi Varsity Confirms Killing of Two Kidnapped Students, Declares Three-Day Mourning
Nigeria, May 27 -- The Kogi State Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTEC) has declared a three-day mourning for two of its students who were killedin kidnappers' den.
It was gathered that the two victims, James Michael Anajuwe, a 100-level Information Technology student, and Musa Hussein, a 100-level Software Engineering student were among students abductedby armed gunmen who raided the school on May 9, 2024.
Meanwhile, a total of 20 of the abducted students were rescued by the security operatives and local hunters.
In a statement issued by the Registrar, Olufunke Hudson on Sunday, May 26, the university expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident.
