Nigeria, May 17 -- A bomb explosion occurred along the Maiduguri - Damboa highway, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuring many others.

Emergency responders and security personnel quickly arrived at the scene to assist victims and secure the area. Several of the injured were taken to Maiduguri General hospitals for treatment.
