Nigeria, Jan. 6 -- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has downplayed the likelihood of an increase in the cost of application for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE), assuring candidates and parents that the fee structure will largely remain unchanged.
In its weekly bulletin released on Monday, the examination body said the 2026 exercise would maintain the same fees as the previous year, in line with directives from President Bola Tinubu aimed at easing the financial burden on Nigerian families.
