Nigeria, Feb. 10 -- Imo State recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with a week-long programme of events.

The celebration, which culminated in a grand finale on February 7, 2026, featured notable guests, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, state governors, business moguls, and other stakeholders from within and outside the state.

The golden jubilee provided a platform to highlight the remarkable progress recorded under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

As the state marked this historic milestone, it became evident that the governor's vision, dedication, and relentless drive have been instrumental in shaping Imo's development.
