Nigeria, March 9 -- Gunmen went to Tsangava school in Gidan Bakuso, Sokoto State, and took away more than 15 students.

It happened around 1 am on Saturday. The school owner, Liman Abubakar, said they are still counting, so there might be more missing students.

The gunmen came into the town at 1 am, shot one person, and kidnapped a woman. When they were leaving, they saw students going to their rooms and took many of them.

"We have so far counted 15 who are missing and we are still searching for more," he said.

This is not the first time bandits have attacked the village. Kabiru Dauda, a member of the state House of Assembly, got a call about the attack at 2 am. He contacted local authorities and security agencies for help.
