Nigeria, Nov. 11 -- Six Directors of the Federal Ministry of Defence were abducted by gunmen on Monday, November 10, 2025, along the Kaba-Lokoja highway while travelling from Lagos to Abuja for a promotion examination.

The victims Mrs. Ngozi Ibeziakor, Mrs. C.A. Emeribe, Mrs. C. Helen Ezeakor, Mrs. C.A. Ladoye, Mrs. J.A. Onwuzurike, and Mrs. Catherine O. Essien, are staff of Command Day Secondary School, Ojo, Lagos.

The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) condemned the abduction and said efforts were underway to rescue them. It urged the government to decentralize promotion exams to reduce travel risks for public servants.
