Nigeria, July 27 -- Genetic modification of food/seeds/crops is similar to the natural cross breeding that has been done traditionally but this time, the selection of traits is done specifically(intentionally) at the genetic level in a lab. Carefully identifying and selecting choice traits that are expected to be present at the modified seed/crop.

Is genetic modification bad ? Theresponse will depend on the traits that have been selected and the long term impact on humans, economically and medically.

The major problem is the intention of men, business wise.

One may have to ask, What are the particular genes that were altered and to what and whose advantage ? Can our research institutes answer these questions ?
