I dare to say that it is not the absence of laws that has denied Nigeria free and fair elections. We have a surfeit of laws that should have guaranteed that we always have credible elections. In other words, the fault is not in the absence of laws - or the inadequacy of laws - it is in us the people that implement the laws. The fault, dear compatriots, is not in our laws but in ourselves that we have been unable to organise free and fair elections!
