Nigeria, Nov. 3 -- The President of Chad has ordered a full military closure of the country's border with Nigeria.

The move follows intelligence reports suggesting that armed groups in northern Nigeria may attempt to enter Chad as tensions grow amid claims of a possible U.S. military operation in West Africa.

According to security sources in N'Djamena, Chadian troops and armored vehicles have been deployed along key border points, and the military is now on maximum alert.

The president stated that no armed group or foreign force will be allowed to cross into Chad under any pretext.
