Nigeria, July 26 -- Nigeria's Super Falcons pulled off a sensational second-half comeback to snatch a 3-2 victory over Morocco in a high-octane Women's Africa Cup of Nations showdown on Saturday.
Morocco came out firing, with Ghizlane Chebbak striking in the 12th minute and Sanaa Mssoudy doubling the lead just 12 minutes later. But Nigeria roared back after the break.
Esther Okoronkwo sparked the revival with a composed penalty in the 64th minute, before Folashade Florence Ijamilusi equalized seven minutes later.
With just two minutes left on the clock, Jennifer Echegini sealed the dramatic turnaround, rifling home the winner in the 88th minute.
Statistically, Nigeria edged it outshooting Morocco 14 to 10, with five efforts on target....
