Nigeria, July 2 -- Former Senate President David Mark has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ending his decades-long membership and signaling a major political shift. In a letter dated June 27, Mark cited deepening leadership crises and irreconcilable differences within the party, saying the PDP has become a "shadow of its former self." Mark's exit follows his emergence as a key interim leader of the coalition-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC), part of a new opposition movement.
