Nigeria, Nov. 3 -- Borno State has been recognised as the top performing state in Nigeria for the Immunisation Plus and Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Transforming Services (IMPACT) project.
The state outperformed all other participating states in the programme.
The IMPACT programme, funded by the World Bank, aims to reduce the death rate of children under five by half by the year 2030 by improving primary healthcare services.
The project provides combined immunisation and malaria services to vulnerable communities across 235 primary and secondary health facilities in the state.
