Nigeria, Feb. 22 -- The Bauchi State Government has approved the sum of N888.5 million for the payment of 2026 external examination fees for 24,917 students in public secondary schools across the state.
The State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, disclosed this during his first press conference as commissioner. He said the intervention would cover the registration of eligible students for major examination bodies.
According to him, 22,646 students will be sponsored under the National Examinations Council (NECO), while 2,064 students will benefit from registration with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
