NIGERIA, Dec. 2 -- According to a statement released on the Army's official X account obtained by The News Chronicle on Tuesday, troops in Borno State from the 151, 152, and 192 Task Force Battalions killed four ISWAP/JAS terrorists.

They also recovered rifles, ammunition, a Baofeng radio, and other military equipment while stopping attempts by terrorists to infiltrate areas around Chibok.

The Army added that troops operating in Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Kogi, and Kaduna under Operation Whirl Stroke and Operation Enduring Peace rescued 20 victims, including women and children, and arrested several suspects involved in kidnapping, human trafficking, extremism, illegal mining, cultism, and illegal arms dealing.
