NIGERIA, Dec. 8 -- Apple has published new information explaining how its Safari browser limits advanced tracking methods used by websites, including a technique known as fingerprinting.

In a statement published on its official website, Apple explained that fingerprinting allows companies to track users by collecting technical information from their devices, such as system settings, fonts, and browser configurations, to form a unique profile. Unlike cookies, this method cannot be easily turned off by users.

Apple said Safari works to prevent this practice by limiting the amount of identifiable information shared with websites.
