Nigeria, Jan. 27 -- Speaking on Arise News on Tuesday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said discussions about a vice-presidential candidate are premature, stressing that the decision rests solely with the party and the time for such deliberations has not arrived.

Morka also dismissed narratives linking Tinubu's past record as Lagos State governor where he worked with three deputy governors to current claims that Vice President Kashim Shettima may be replaced.

According to him, drawing parallels between Tinubu's time in Lagos and present-day speculation at the federal level is misleading and should not be used to fuel unnecessary political tension.
