Nigeria, July 12 -- In a landmark development for the continent's mining sector, African mining ministers have commended Nigeria's Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, for his visionary leadership during the African Minerals Strategy Group (AMSG) meeting. The ministers unanimously adopted the African Mineral Resources Classification and Management System-Pan-African Resource Code (AMREC-PARC) to enhance investor confidence and harmonize Africa's mining standards with global best practices.
