A few days ago, I got a call from an elder, who craved anonymity and, expressing deep concern over what he called "coup revelation" in recent times. He drew attention to the bitter and tragic legacy of coups in Nigeria and requested that I re-publish this piece. He admonished that we must all protect our democracy no matter the challenges of the moment. I am here obliging him as a citizen standing with the State. Happy reading!
