Nigeria, Feb. 14 -- In a sweeping offensive that sent shockwaves through notorious hotspots, the Kano Strategic Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has rounded up 17 suspects and confiscated a cache of illicit substances under its special enforcement drive, "Operation Ramadan Mubarak."
The State Commander, Mr. Dahiru Yahaya-Lawal, made this known in a statement released in Kano by the Command's Public Relations Officer, Sadiq Muhammad-Maigatari.
The operation, he explained, was designed to cleanse the state of narcotics during the sacred month, ensuring that Ramadan is observed in peace rather than polluted by crime.
