Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- Boxer Zinnat Ferdous became new champion in the 52kg weight of National Boxing Competition after defeating Afra Khandaker by 5-0 points in the final at the Mohammad Ali Boxing Stadium in the capital on Thursday. Zinnat Ferdous is an expatriate boxer of United States of America, who for the first time took part in the National Boxing Competition in Bangladesh. Afra Khandaker was the defending champion in this event.

The Mohammad Ali Boxing Stadium was jam-packed as a large number of spectators arrived at the stadium to watch the entertaining match between Zinnat Ferdous and Arfa Khandaker.
