Dhaka, April 28 -- After concluding his engagements in Rome, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus departed for Bangladesh on Sunday morning, expected to arrive on Monday.
His trip followed a four-day official visit to Qatar before paying his respects to Pope Francis, a personal friend.
During a meeting in Rome on Saturday, Bangladesh's Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, and Uruguay's Foreign Minister, Mario Lubetkin, expressed strong interest in enhancing cooperation between Latin America and Asia.
Their discussions focused on mutual interests, particularly global trade and the need for increased collaboration between the two regions.
