Dhaka, March 18 -- Chief Adviser, Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, on Monday urged police personnel to remain vigilant against the defeated forces of the July uprising, who may attempt to intensify efforts to destabilise the country as the election approaches.

The Chief Adviser also instructed the police to enhance their efforts in maintaining law and order, ensuring that every citizen, including minority communities, feels safe and secure.

Home Adviser, Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home Secretary Nasimul Gani, and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam also addressed the event.
