Dhaka, July 29 -- Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on Monday reiterated his administration's unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism, affirming that Bangladesh will not allow terrorist groups to operate within its borders.
"Combating terrorism is our top priority. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy and will take all necessary actions to eradicate terrorism from the country," he stated.
Professor Yunus made the remarks during a meeting with US Charge d'Affaires Tracey Ann Jacobson at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka. The Chief Adviser's Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, briefed reporters following the meeting.
