Dhaka, March 24 -- The Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, has described the forthcoming visit of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus to China as a significant diplomatic milestone, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China. He suggested that the visit may lead to important announcements.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following a meeting with Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin, the ambassador said, "We are working very closely on the Chief Adviser's visit. Wait and see-there may be important announcements during this trip. It will be a milestone."
