Dhaka, April 19 -- A youth has been arrested by the Gulshan Division of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in connection with a widely discussed incident of public intimidation with a firearm in the capital's Bhatara.
The arrested was identified as Alinur Pavel, also known as Pavel, 32, said a DMP media release on Friday, reports BSS.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB in a drive apprehended him on Thursday night around 10:30pm from the Kuril Bishwa Road area.
Police said following previous enmity, a group of 10-12 individuals, including Alinur Pavel, allegedly drove to the residence of Md. Rasheduzzaman Raju at Joar Sahara Kha Para under Bhatara Police Station at approximately 1:56am on April 1.
