Our Correspondent, April 9 -- A youth Jewel Mia (23), son of Anwar Hossain of Andirpar village was brutally killed by his opponents with hacking and cutting off one of his hands. The murder took place on the road at the entrance of Shira Garden Resort in Andirpar area of Madanpur around 12:15 pm on Wednesday. The villagers became agitated over the murder and attacked the killers' houses and set them on fire.

Police arrested the wife and son of a local member on charges of involvement in the murder. The arrested are Shahnaz (38) and Yasin (18) of the same village.

Bandar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Deepak Chandra Saha confirmed the murder and said the body was recovered from a local hospital and sent to the morgue for autopsy. ...
