Dhaka, May 6 -- Prominent young litterateur Shammi Tultul has been honored with a Literary Award in recognition of her contributions to contemporary literature. The award, accompanied by a commemorative memento, was presented during a writers' convention and award ceremony held in Dhaka on Friday.

The daylong event, organized to mark the 18th anniversary of Protiva Prokash publishing house, took place at the Shafiqul Kabir Auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity. The celebration featured seminars, poetry and rhyme recitations, and a gathering of writers from across the country.
