Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- World Maritime Day 2025 to be observed today, as elsewhere in the world, with the theme 'Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity'.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has issued a message in this regard.In his message, the Chief Adviser said, "World Maritime Day is observed annually to highlight the importance of shipping safety, maritime security, and the protection of the marine environment.
It is a day that recognises the vital role of the maritime industry in global trade and the world economy." Each year, he said, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) selects a specific theme to address key challenges and issues facing the maritime sector.
