World Habitat Day-2025 was observed in the district on Monday with a call for building sustainable and inclusive cities through planned development to tackle urban challenges. A rally, discussion held marking the world habitat day. This year's theme was "Planned Development Stream, Response to Urban Problems."
The discussion meeting was held at the local collectorate conference room on Monday. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC, General) Mizabe Rahmat attended as chief guest, and Additional SP(Crime & DSB) Mahamudul Islam Talukder as special guest , while Executive Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) Mohiuddin Jahangir in the chair.
