Dhaka, Nov. 17 -- On Sunday, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Mahfuj Alam said that women's participation in various sectors has increased significantly since the mass uprising in July.He made these remarks at an event titled "Women in establishing democracy: What we have gained" organised by Women in Democracy at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) auditorium in the capital.
Mahfuj expressed the hope that over the next five years, women will join mainstream politics in larger numbers.
