India, Jan. 8 -- Police have recovered the throat slit dead body of a housewife named Arifa Akhtar (17) from a rented house in Kuakata under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district on early Tuesday.
The body was recovered in a bloody state from the rented house of Abdus Sattar in Ward No. 3 of Kuakata Municipality area under Mohipur Police Station at around 12:10 am Tuesday.
Mahipur Police Station OC Mohabbat Khan said that her husband Rifat Hossain, 21, was taken into police custody as his words were incoherent.
The recovered dead body of wife has been sent to Patuakhali morgue for autopsy and husband sent to Patuakhali district jail on Tuesday noon. Further legal action is being taken.
