Dhaka, April 21 -- Uncollected garbage dumped along a road in Uttara has become a major source of discomfort and frustration for pedestrians, triggering complaints from local residents and commuters alike.
The waste, consisting of household trash, food scraps, and plastic materials, has been lying unattended for several days.
As temperatures rise, the stench from the rotting garbage has become unbearable, while the road remains partially blocked, forcing pedestrians to walk dangerously close to moving traffic.
Taimur Banik, a businessman told The New Nation that it's painful to pass through this area," said a local resident. "The smell is awful, and we have no choice but to walk on the road, risking accidents."
