Dhaka, July 28 -- A Dhaka court has issued arrest warrants against former Bangladesh Pratidin editor Naeem Nizam and two others in connection with a case filed under the Digital Security Act.

The warrants were issued on Sunday by Judge Md Nurul Alam of the Dhaka Cyber Tribunal, following a petition by the complainant's legal representative.

The other accused are Bangladesh Pratidin publisher Moynal Hossain Chowdhury and Syed Borhan Kabir, editor-in-chief of Bangla Insider.

Confirming the development, court bench assistant Jewel Mia stated, "The CID submitted its investigation report against the accused, which the court accepted on 2 June.
