Dhaka, March 13 -- The International Criminal Tribunal has issued arrest warrants for five individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, Imran H. Sarker, and Benazir Ahmed, in a case filed by Hefazat-e-Islam regarding the Shapla Chattar incident.

Additionally, the tribunal has ordered the production warrants for four accused individuals who are currently in jail.

The order was given by the International Criminal Tribunal on Wednesday.The arrest warrants were issued based on allegations of genocide during a Hefazat-e-Islam rally at Shapla Chattar in the Motijheel area of the capital Dhaka on May 5, 2013.

Among the accused are former Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, spokesperson for Ganajagaran Mancha Imran H. Sarker, former IGP Hasan Mahmo...
