Bangladesh, Feb. 2 -- Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Sunday called on voters to support his party's scale symbol to help build a Bangladesh free from corruption, drugs, and extortion.

Addressing a public rally organised by the Jamalpur district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the Singhajani Multipurpose High School ground, he described the scale as a symbol of justice.

Dr Shafiqur Rahman said that if Jamaat-e-Islami is given the responsibility to govern the country, it will ensure dignity and respect for women.

He alleged that female campaigners supporting the scale symbol are being harassed and attacked in different areas.
